How to type Russian
The standard Russian layout is called ЙЦУКЕН after its top row: Й is on Q, Ц on W, У on E, К on R and Е on T. Ё sits on the ` key, left of 1.
The hard sign ъ is on ] and the soft sign ь is on M. Punctuation moves too: the period is on the / key and the comma is Shift + /.
If you do not know ЙЦУКЕН, pick Russian - Mnemonic in the Layout menu. It places letters by sound on an English keyboard: A types а, B types б, D types д, F types ф, G types г and R types р. The menu also has the older Russian (Typewriter) layout.
