How to type Farsi (Persian)
This is the Persian (Standard) layout. A few anchors: ا is on H, ب on F, س on S, ش on A, ی on D and ک on ;. The letters Persian adds to the Arabic alphabet are پ on M, چ on ], ژ on Shift + C and گ on '.
The half space (ZWNJ, نیمفاصله) joins word parts without connecting the letters, as in میخواهم. It is Shift + B.
This layout types the Persian ی and ک. The Arabic keyboard types ي and ك instead: they look almost the same but are different characters, so search and spell checkers treat them as different words.
The number row types Persian digits (۱ is 1). The Persian question mark ؟ is Shift + / and the comma ، is Shift + 7.
