Cyrillic Keyboard русский

Russian - Mnemonic layout

How to type Cyrillic by sound

This keyboard starts on Russian - Mnemonic, a phonetic layout: each Russian letter is on the Latin key that sounds like it. а is A, б is B, д is D, р is R, ф is F.

Letters with no Latin twin take two keys, the way you would spell them in English: с then х gives ш, ц then х gives ч, й then а gives я and й then у gives ю. The first key waits for the second; press Space if you want it on its own.

The Layout menu switches to the standard layouts of Russian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Macedonian, Belarusian and Kazakh.

The Russian - Mnemonic layout puts each Russian letter on the Latin key that sounds like it.
