How to type Korean
This is the Dubeolsik (2-set) layout used on Korean keyboards: consonants on the left half, vowels on the right.
Type the letters of a syllable in reading order and they stack into one block: ㅎ ㅏ ㄴ gives 한 and ㄱ ㅜ ㄱ gives 국. When a vowel follows a final consonant, that consonant moves to start the next block, so ㅎ ㅏ ㄴ ㄱ ㅜ ㄱ ㅇ ㅓ gives 한국어.
Double consonants are on Shift: ㄲ is Shift + R, ㄸ Shift + E, ㅃ Shift + Q, ㅆ Shift + T and ㅉ Shift + W. ㅒ and ㅖ are Shift + O and Shift + P.
Compound vowels take two keys: ㅗ then ㅏ makes ㅘ, ㅜ then ㅓ makes ㅝ and ㅡ then ㅣ makes ㅢ. Backspace inside a block removes one letter at a time, not the whole syllable.
